The Time Has Come

Every Lions fan has one thing to look forward to every year, and it isn't just those 1-2 wins every year. Every April the Lions have a top 10 pick and once again can ruin another good players career. Now this year will be interesting. With every skill position filled with a mediocre or better player its time to start to get some roll players. Obviously they aren't even going to touch another QB, RB (Smith is bad ass and even Morris is showing he's a fucking hard ass as well), WR (The only WR better than Calvin would be Jesus himself).
I'm gonna change the subject now and look at the best player in the nation (Suh). The Rams are in desperate need of every position (like the lions can talk) but need a QB more than anything. Hopefully they start to weigh the options of Clausen/Bradford/Tebow? and will leave us the easy pick of Suh. If they do go ahead and take Suh with the first pick, I hope the Lions realize that he was a one of a kind player and skip Gerald McCoy from OU and take Russell Okung from Oklahoma State because we are in dire need of a OT that can actually block. If I have to watch Backus for one more year I might actually throw up.

P.S. The day the Rams sign Clausen/Bradford I will order my custom Suh Jersey. AND I PRAY that actually happens.

Real Quick

1) As much as every Michigander fucking hates Ohio State, hats off to them for looking good and representing the Big Ten.
2) As much as everybody with a pulse outside the state of Florida hates Tim Tebow, hats off to him for having one hell of a game and kicking the shit out of that undefeated Bear Cat team.
3) As much as the Pistons fucking blow, you have to be positive. That means we are one ping pong ball away from having John Wall. Amen.

P.S. I secretly have a man crush on Tebow. The guy has a fucking cannon for an arm and that drive to win. Gotta respect him. Plus look at the rack on that guy, makes The Hulk look like a bitch.

Christmas Time

I know this is supposed to be a sports blog, but with the Lions, Pistons and Red Wings all blowing harder than Monica Lewinsky in the Oval Office, I'll try to entertain in different ways.

While I was mid-last minute shopping, I stumbled upon that golden Christmas Song about how "I saw Mommy kissing Santa Claus" and never really took the time to realize how fucked up that song really is.
1. Who's to blame, Santa for being a Gigolo dressed in a red suit or the mother for being a whore.
2. Is she really that pathetic she's gotta get down with St. Nick in order to get her 15 minutes of fame. No wonder it was so easy for Tiger, chicks love famous guys.
3. What fucked up little boy/girl is going to sit there and watch their mother cheat on their father? Good god.
4. Santa has some fucking nerve to come in to a innocent mans house and smash his wife. Unbelievable. Not even Scrooge would pull something that low.

Black Out

This is a unique post about the Lions. I am not going to complain about the team one time (thats a lie, you can't post about the Lions and not rag on them) in this post, yet I will complain that I missed my first Lions game in two years. My last two semesters at Grand Valley I haven't missed one Sunday (I specify just in case you morons ever thought the Lions have played on a Monday night during my lifetime) Lions game. This past weekend I came home to celebrate the Holiday season (shout out to Nick Sink-a-Nellys X-mas party and Ernie gettin down with Jac Nic) and I missed the fucking game. Now I wouldn't be upset if I was doing something productive Sunday but I was sitting around on my thumb all afternoon. Not only was the game blacked out but it was a rare good game and they lost in the last two minutes. So FUCK YOU Detroit fans for not going to the game or at least buying tickets, FUCK YOU Lions (minus Staffy and Calvin) for being bad causing Detroiters to not go to the games and FUCK YOU Anquan Boldin for a million reasons and beating us Sunday.

P.S. Kurt Warner is old as shit.
P.S.S Stanton+Culpeppers QB ratings combined didn't equal Warners. Sigh... :(

DOPE

Kansas Basketball

I wake up to a typical Saturday morning. Thought I'd throw on some ESPN and see whats cookin'. Ofcourse I turn on the the box and see Kansas playing another mediocre unranked team. Granted Michigan is a respectable ball club and who from the state of Michigan isn't on Mannie Fresh Harris' nuts. The guys the truth and the best Mr. Basketball Michigan has seen in a while.
Back to what I started. I have little respect for Bill Self and the Kansas basketball team. Yeah, they're good but who the fuck do they play during the regular season? Michigan State (Izzo loves a challenge ;) ), Duke, North Carolina and Texas all have atleast one challenging game at the beginning of the year every year. Kansas can milk that number one ranking for as long as they want. Quite frankly, I don't even know if they are that good because they haven't tested themselves.
